Infrastructure Engineer – London based

Ideally our client is looking for a candidate they can mentor and train up, so this is an ideal role for those looking to develop and accelerate their career in London.

Epsilontate is a managment consultancy that works with some of London’s biggest companies providing specialist expertise and innovative technical solutions. Based in Leicester Square, they work primarily with the IT, Banking and Finance sectors, and due to excessive demand are now looking to grow their consultancy team.

Getting you up to speed quickly is our priority, and on Day 1 Epsilontate will launch you into their Consultant Development Programme. You will be assigned a mentor who will review your experience, core competencies and skills you are wanting to develop. Together, you will then agree on what type of consultant assignments would truly excite you and begin preparations to get you work ready.

Work will vary in nature depending on client requirements and expectations. You will be expected to travel to client sites in the London area for assignments typically of 3-6 months in duration. As a valued member of their team, Epsilontate will be in regular contact with you, ensuring you have all of the support you require on a regular basis.


Role Definition

You will be required to provide technical expertise and leadership in delivering client solutions. You will also be available for 3rd line technical support (as required), ensuring closure of service issues and incidents in accordance with client SLA procedures and standards.


Your Responsibilities

Provide technical solutions meeting customer requirements and expectations
Participate in both project and/or 3rd line support as client requirements permit
Proactively communicate with all customers and stakeholders in a regular and timely manner
Liaise with other operational teams to aid in the diagnosis of issues raised
Review new features before go-live, providing final sign off as required.


Essential skills

Minimum 3 years technical experience
Microsoft Sever 2008 through 2016
Microsoft TCP/IP and related technologies
Microsoft Active Directory configuration and administration.
VMware and or Citrix
The ability to document new processes and procedures for use both internally and externally.
Experience working with other lines of service, including 2nd/3rdline technical support/project and operations teams.
Excellent communication, teamwork and customer service skills.
Experience within a 3rd line technical support environment.


A mix of the following skills would be advantageous

MS Exchange, Cisco, Citrix, DNS, Linux, SAN, ITIL, Firewall, vSphere, SCCM, Security Cleared, SQL, HP, DHCP, SQL Server, IIS, Hyper-V, Powershell, Microsoft Certification, NetApp, Exchange Server 2014, Cloud experience
